LAMDA is a world – class drama and music school and a leader in graded examinations, setting the standard for speech, communication and drama around the world.
The syllabus consists of a series of graded examinations and allows the children to work on acting pieces, poetry & prose.
The aim is to develop a love, appreciation and understanding of language and literature through learning and speaking aloud, and to offer a progressive education and training in communication through speech.
The acting syllabus is designed to develop the skills necessary to communicate dramatic text to an audience.
The children have the opportunity to choose their own pieces aided by the teacher, which allows them to discover pieces that they will enjoy speaking.
The examiner will then assess their ability to speak/act the selections and to discuss their work

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR:
As the children are working towards examinations throughout the academic year, your child will have their place in LAMDA for the school year.
Should a pupil not wish to continue with lessons the following term, a minimum of half a term’s written notice must be received. Notice therefore will need to be served no later than the first day of the half-term break before the term in which the lessons are to be stopped. Failure to do so will result in a full term’s fees becoming payable in lieu of such notice. Please email sasha@allsortsdrama.com
Should a pupil decide to cease lessons at any point during a given term, you will remain liable for that full term’s fees.
If a lesson has been scheduled and communicated in advance, fees will not be refunded or waived for absence due to sickness, voluntary absence, or if the school is temporarily closed due to adverse weather conditions.
The teacher will make every reasonable effort to teach the contracted number of lessons and to make up any lessons that are missed. In the event this is not possible you will be refunded for the missed lessons.
